LISTEN LEAD UNITE

A little more human. A lot more united.

Why I’m Running

I’m running for Congress because, on a human level, it is not healthy for us to be this divided. We were not meant to live in constant fight mode or suspicion of one another. We can stand firmly for our principles, as we always have, while still making space to understand where someone else is coming from. In fact, that is where real strength is found.

We’ve stopped talking. We’ve stopped listening.

This moment calls for more.

About Ethan

Seventeen years ago, when people were moving out of Michigan, Ethan and his wife Bethany were moving in, choosing Oakland County as the place to build their life and raise their family. It was a deliberate decision to put down roots, slow down, and invest in a place they could truly call home.

He was elected to City Council in 2015 and later as Mayor of Troy in 2019, where he has served for the last seven years as a nonpartisan leader committed to restoring confidence in how local government works.

He stepped into leadership at a time when many residents felt the city had lost its way, with concerns about a lack of openness and growing distrust in local government. He prioritized rebuilding trust between the city and the community it serves and has remained committed to that ever since.

We’re More Alike Than You Might Think

Most of us want the same things — stability for our families, opportunity for our kids and grandkids, safe communities, and a future we can feel confident in. And we get there the same way: by listening, understanding, and remembering that we have more in common than what divides us.

Let’s choose a different way of showing up—listening more, leading with respect, and bringing people back together. This is how we start to move forward again, and that’s my proven approach I will bring to Congress.
